陈教授：我们中国人过春节的时候，都给孩子钱当礼物。
Wǒmen zhōngguórén guò chūnjié de shíhou, dōugěi háizi qián dāng lǐwù.
During the Spring Festival, the parents or the relatives may give the children some money as a present.
这钱要用红纸包起来，就叫红包。
Zhè qián yào yòng hóngzhǐ bāoqǐlái, jiù jiào hóngbāo.
They wrap the money with a piece of red paper, so that's how the red envelope get its name.
